More about this coffee and its origins
Ethiopia Guji | Specialty Coffee
This vibrant, complex, and unmistakably Ethiopian coffee is bursting with notes of blackberry, cardamom and lemon curd, layered with delicate florals and dark chocolate bass notes.
Grown high in the mountains of Ethiopia’s renowned Guji region, this exceptional natural process coffee comes from Siko village, where smallholder farmers deliver carefully selected ripe cherries to town’s washing station, established in 2017.
Guji coffee was previously bundled together with Yirgacheffe and Sidama coffees under the umbrella “Sidamo”, but since 2002 Guji coffee has been marketed under its own name.
Guji is blessed with many regional landraces of coffee. These are varieties that are indigenous to the area, often having grown naturally in the area for decades or even centuries.
